Geoff, Omar, Pete, Risto In the summer of 1991 Risto began spinning, and later that year he learned that classmate Peter A. was also a DJ. It was then in 1993 that they combined with fellow house head and schoolmate Geoff "DJ Desire" Scull to form the New Skool Crew. For seven years New Skool spun across the GTA, providing the late night House segment for the weekly Jungle show Amplitude and Ambience on CHRY 105.5 fm, spinning in the main room and the chill out room at raves, after hours, and warehouse parties, and dropping sets all the way from Klub Max and Zoo Bar, to Fluid, RPM and Energy 108 fm.

Darker Than Blue In 1999, the ebb of university life gave way to the rise of the adult day job, and closure was brought to the New Skool alliance. The next year, Risto and Geoff joined crates with Desmond "D-Train" Williams to form DTB - Darker Than Blue - spinning Rare Groove, Soul, Jazz, and Funk across the city until 2004. In 2005 Risto returned to the House, recombining with Pete to host Something About Midnight on Soul Stream Networks, while Geoff and Desmond continued to carry the DTB flame, hosting their sister show, Inspirations, on the same net radio station.

When it comes to music, some say that Risto and Pete advocate antiestablishmentarianism. Pete and Risto have no response. Having been raised on community radio stations such as CHRY, CKLN, and CIUT, listening to radio shows such as Dave's Dance Music, Midnight Madness, F.E.A.R. Edit, and The Rhythm Method, Risto and Pete have learned to love all manners of music. But their passion is House - Garage House.
